The Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) require each applicant for a loan originator license to pass a Alabama  state specific mortgage regulation exam. Ameritrain has created a course to provide students a detailed overview of the laws and regulations relating to the residential mortgage industry in Alabama and to prepare them for the state examination.This is a self paced  ON LINE course using visual and text presentations with quick reference links to specific areas of the law. This format provides the student with an excellent review tool to reinforce the information. There is a practice exam  at the end of the course with a passing level higher than the NMLS and state requirements. Students may take the exam as many times as necessary until they receive a passing score . 

This is an online practice test for the Alabama State Prelicense NMLS requirement. The test pulls from a pool of randomly selected questions. There are 50 multiple-choice questions, the same number required for the state component of the NMLS prelicense exam. The passing grade exceeds the state and NMLS requirement. Students who fail the test can retake it as many times as necessary to pass without additional fees. Most questions have a reference to either the Alabama Code or the Department rules. Students are encouraged to practice this test before taking the actual test.

 As an alternative, students have the option of completing the Alabama Preparation online course which includes an Alabama state prelicense practice test.
